AASPP (American Association of SIDS Prevention Physicians) each year offers one or more NEW SCIENTIST TRAVEL AWARD. The award is for $1500 and is to be used to attend the AASPP annual conference.
This grant will be provided to a PhD in a postdoc fellowship, a physician in fellowship training or someone in their first year of their faculty appointment whose future goals are consistent with AASPP. Along with the grant, one year’s membership to AASPP will be provided. Conference fees will apply.
Applications should be submitted by June 1st for the conference held in September. Applicants should apply by emailing bmcentire@sids.org. They should include their name, degree(s), title, department, institution, city, state and 1-2 paragraphs about their career goals and research and attach a CV. The winner is expected to attend and participate in the entire conference. (Previous winners are not eligible.)
