About the Conference

This 3 ½ -day conference covers issues facing medical professionals who provide care for infants at increased risk for sudden death, with sessions on the latest research findings and practice guidelines. Strategies for reducing the risk of SIDS/SUID and other unexpected infant deaths are explored. Topics of discussion might include SIDS/SUID, apnea of prematurity and infancy, problems related to intermittent hypoxia, pediatric sleep apnea and sleep disorders. Sessions are structured to enhance discussion and interaction. In addition to lectures by experts, there are panel discussions, case presentations and literature reviews. This annual conference was developed for neonatologists, pediatric pulmonologists, pediatric neurologists, nurses, respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals who have an interest in sudden unexpected infant deaths and sleep disorders that affect young children.
